Aim and Scope of the Conference
The Fifth International Conference on Fluid Mechanics (ICFM-V) is the premier
forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields
of theoretical, experimental, and computational Fluid Mechanics. Following the
previous successful conferences in Beijing (1987, 1993, 1998) and Dalian (2004)
organized by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the
Scientific Committee for ICFM is now presenting ICFM-V to provide a forum for
researchers to exchange original ideas and recent advances in their respective research
on Fluid Mechanics or relevant interdisciplinary subjects. The conference is also
intended to promote interactive discussion and dialogue among scientists and
engineers on commonly interested problems in the field. Topics of interest for
submission include, but are not limited to:
Flow instability and Turbulence
Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics
Hydrodynamics
Industrial and Environmental Fluid Mechanics
Biofluid Mechanics
Geophysical Fluid Mechanics
Plasma and Magneto-Hydrodynamics
Multiphase Flows, Non-Newtonian Flows and Flows in Porous Media
Flow of Reacting Fluid
Microscale Flows and others
Famous leading scientists in the world fluid mechanics community are invited to
deliver lectures on the frontier topics in concerned fields and branches on the
occasion.
Language
The official language of the Conference is English. All papers should be written
and presented in English.
Submission of Abstracts
Extended previously unpublished abstracts of around 1000 words in the
above-related areas are welcome to submit to icfm5@sjtu.edu.cn by email or the
